Jordan 12 Sizing: Size Chart, Fit, Are They True to Size

5 Min Read

Air Jordan 12s are one of the most popular iterations of the Air Jordan range. Combining classic looks and modern styling with excellent on-court performance, these sneakers deserve a place in everyone’s collection.

Available in a ton of colourways and a range of cuts, you’re bound to find an option that appeals.

But when you do, you want to ensure you pick the best size. Too small and they’ll be painful to wear.

Too big and they won’t provide the comfort or support you want from basketball shoes.

This Air Jordan 12 sizing guide will tell you everything you need to know to ensure you get the best fit and size for you!

1

Do Jordan 12s Fit True to Size?

Nike Air Jordan 12s tend to run true to size. However, they have a tighter fit than some of their predecessors.

If you have wide feet, you might find going up half a size makes for a better fit.

However, if you have very narrow feet, going down half a size is recommended.

When new, AJ12s can feel very snug.

They break in relatively quickly but prepare for a tighter fitting shoe than the AJ1s for example.

2

Do Jordan 12s Have Half Sizes?

Yes, the Air Jordan 12s are available in half sizes all the way to 13.5 in the USA and 14.5 in the UK.

3

How to Convert Men's sizes into Women's sizes for Air Jordan 12s?

As with much of the Air Jordan range, not every silhouette is available in both men’s and women’s sizes.

To ensure you get the correct fit, no matter the colourway or cut you’re interested in, converting men’s to women’s sizes is simple.

Take your normal women’s shoe size and minus 1.5. That will give you the equivalent men’s sized AJ12. For example. If you have size 8 feet as a woman, you’ll want to buy a men’s size 6.5 in AF12s.

The official Nike size charts suggest that you only need to drop 1 size rather than 1.5 but that is based on foot length alone. It does not consider width.

As with all shoes, the best way to ensure you get a good fit is to try the shoes on in-store whenever possible.

3

Are Jordan 12s Comfortable?

As we’ve all come to expect from Air Jordans, the 12s are ultra-comfortable.

On the court, they’re supportive, lightweight and ultra-responsive.

While less impressive off the court, the AJ12s are more than capable of acting as an everyday sneaker.

The dense cushioning and structured ankle support mean you can pound the pavement for hours wearing these shoes.

The only thing to be aware of is the lack of ventilation. In the summer, the AJ12s can get a little stifling!

Good to Know

  • Air Jordan 12s tend to fit true to size.
  • They’re available in half sizes.
  • However, they’re tighter than previous models and take a little breaking in.
  • If you have wide feet, we recommend going up half a size.
  • If you have very narrow feet, we recommend going down half a size.

Final Words

Air Jordan 12s have been around since the mid-1990s but are still making waves today.

This popular silhouette tends to fit true to size although those of you with particularly wide or narrow feet will need to go half a size up or down accordingly.

For women, if you can’t find the model you want in women’s sizes, take your normal shoe size and minus 1.5. That will give you a good place to start with men’s sizes.
